Kalinago Heritage Tours

Kalinago Heritage Tours is a Registered Limited Company formed for the purpose of conducting tours within the Kalinago (Carib) Territory.

Services offered will mainly be of a cultural heritage nature with major emphasis placed on the Kalinago culture. Kalinago Heritage Tours Inc. will be providing tour packages to visitors of the Carib Territory.

Services offered include -

• Hikes to historical and natural sites
• Tours to the Kalinago Barana Aute
• Traditional fishing expeditions
• Interactive activities such as basket weaving, hammock making, cassava making
• Tours to traditional demo farms
• Traditional medicines and boat-making.

Visitors will also be given the opportunity to spend time with families experiencing local life, listening to myths and legends and also to see some cultural dances and enjoy local cuisine.

Through the use of our cultural heritage resources, Kalinago Heritage Tours (KAHETO) will seek to honor the lives and contributions of our Kalinago ancestors, stimulate appreciation, enhance understanding and foster economic sustainability of our Kalinago nation through language, arts, social and culinary expressions.

Vision

Kalinago Heritage Tours (KAHETO) will endeavor to provide all visitors to the Kalinago Territory with accurate interpretations of cultural resources through authentic Kalinago experiences while assisting in the preservation of Kalinago culture and promoting the economic and social benefits of heritage tourism within the Kalinago Territory. KAHETO will focus its initial effort on the heritage tourism market in the Kalinago Territory.

Our packages will enable visitors to share in our past, understand our present and enhance our future through art, entertainment, education and participation. It will also serve to provide economic stability to the Kalinago resource persons.
